Last week, myself and Carissa took another trip up to London for a day of shopping and to do the City of London running race. As neither of us are runners we had set ourselves high aims to complete it within our target time, but we did, so that was a massive bonus! I loved the medals that we got and the route was so pretty- I love the St Pauls area, it's perfect for a morning run! Thank you to London City Mile for organising it! In the afternoon we went to Gourmet Burger Kitchen for lunch (thank you to their Covent Garden staff for the excellent customer service) and then did the typical London trip thing of shopping on Oxford Street before heading to Hyde Park to take some photos using my new camera lens.

I was invited to the ASOS #EpicSummer bloggers event a couple of days ago which was being held in their lovely London HQ. I had been before at around Christmas time for another Access All ASOS event so was really happy to be asked along again! I went with my friend Lucy and we spent the day shopping and eating macaroons in Laduree before heading along to the party. They had so many things set up, including an ice cream stand, hotdogs, pimms, personalised flower head garlands made from real flowers, nail painting, table football and a DJ. It was lovely to bump in to Elena and have a little trip to Leicester Square for a few drinks with her and Lucy afterwards.

Outfit details:
Trousers: H&M
Blazer: Tesco (only £10!!)
Shoes: ASOS (I have done a whole blog post on them here)
Cami top: H&M
Lipstick: Dior Fluidstick in 'Mona Lisette'

Sorry for the complete absence on for the past couple of months- I have just finished my A Level exams and I am finally free for summer! I have lots of exciting things planned for the next few months which include a holiday to Morocco and obviously a lot of London trips so look out for plenty of blog posts on them soon!

Do you have any good plans for this summer? What do you think of the
ASOS #EpicSummer event?

After seeing this recipe by Sally's Baking Addiction on Pinterest, I just knew I had to make it myself and film it so I could share the recipe with you! If I had white chocolate chunks I would of added them to make it a white chocolate and raspberry cake but instead I decided to call it a strawberries and cream cake- yum!

I have changed it slightly from Sally's original recipe as this was a spur of the moment bake and I didn't have all the right ingredients to make it her way!

You will need:
  • 250g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 240ml milk
  • 80ml) vegetable oil
  • A couple of handfuls of fresh strawberries
I think the photos and video are pretty self explanitory in what to do- basically add all the dry ingredients together and stir, and then gradually add all the wet ingredients to the mix. Don't forget to watch my YouTube recipe tutorial which goes along with this blog post and makes it easier to see what I'm doing!

I hope you found this interesting to read, don't forget to check out my video
and Sally's blog post! If you decide to make this, please send me a photo on
twitter- I would absolutely love to see them!
